Rotary joint for high temperature

Rotary joints for multiple connections are used, if control tasks have to be realized. Thereby different signals of pneumatic or hydraulic activation have to be actuated targeted. In special cases it is demanded, that the control channels are separately sealed to definitely exclude possible mutual overrides.

Increased temperatures require special sealing and bearing concepts. Sealing elements made of high performance polymers, sealing and bearing elements made of carbon or mechanical seals with metal bellows thereby meet sophisticated sealing duties.

Gas tightness of combustible gases makes special demands on a sealing system. Hereby, selected elastomers or PTFE-compounds work together with optimized sliding surfaces as a system and ensure the operation. Additionally the demanded security is ensured by a coordinated master plan.

Integrated designs of rotary joints

Compared with the combination of standard components, integrated designs provide reduced mechanical interfaces, a compact assembly and a reduction of mounting costs, as they are delivered as ready-to-install solution.

High pressure applications are to be found in the hydraulics to control rotationally moved aggregates as well as, for example, in the cleaning technology with rotating spray heads. Short clock cycles and therefore fast changing pressures require special demands on the sealing elements.

Rotary joint for high pressure

At large-scale process technology plants sealing systems with accordingly large dimensions are necessary. This means high demands on the manufacturing of all parts and requires great care by mounting this component assembly.
Rotary joints for the process technology are specially aligned to the adoption respectively fitting into the machine as well as the special characteristics of the used media, considering the special requirements of the customer.

The sealing of liquids, which flow through a rotor, belongs to the cooling and heating requirements in the processing and chemical engineering technology. Generally 2-channel rotary joints are used in this range, which lead in and lead back the medium. Depending on the temperature and rotational speed of the rotor, different sealing systems and bearings are used.

Manufacturing processes, which run under vacuum, require drives for transport, handling or process support whose shafts have to be sealed to the atmosphere. It could additionally be necessary to lead in the cooling media or to load electrical energy through the shaft. If the bearing is designed accordingly a rotary joint for vacuum may directly represent the bearing of the rotating part and enable the direct adoption of drive systems.
